Below is our itinerary of our trip to Nepal earlier this month. Folks planning a similar route might find it useful. We skipped Pokhara since we weren’t planning to do any trekking; we were more interested in visiting sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List — Kathmandu Valley and Chitwan National Park. A quick detour to Nagarkot gave a nice view of the Himalayas. I also opted for a private tour with a local travel agency, Outfitter Nepal, instead of the usual DIY, as I was traveling with my senior citizen mother.
